The Plamp holds a reflector or gobo in just the right spot to get that burst of light or shadow that changes a shot from okay to extraordinary. Get that annoying branch out of the shot without disturbing anything else. Position the gooseneck arm and a grey card to shade your lens or take a light reading. Or, hold a flower steady so that the shutter speed can be slow enough to get the aperture you’ll need for extreme depth of field at macro distances.
