Established in 1979, Friendicoes is the oldest animal hospital and shelter in Delhi. It has been working for the welfare of animals in distress for over 35 years.

Founded by a group of animal lovers, whose dedicated and pioneering efforts in rescuing and rehabilitating animals has made Frendicoes a household name.

In an effort to make Friendicoes easily accessible to the public we run a 24 x 7 Helpline and an ambulance service for distressed strays who need medical assistance.

The Helpline receives over 50 calls on an average every day.

A Mobile equine clinic  was Started in 1984 for work horses, mules and donkeys working at brick kilns, construction sites & tonga stands of Delhi.

Today our team of Paravets attends to 1500 working Equines in 30 stands & brick kilns.

The program is spread over 4 states of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan and the team travels 6 days a week over a 1000 kilometres to reach these animals.

In 1993 Friendicoes started an Animal Birth Control program which  has strengthened over the last 2 decades and now is one of the biggest in the country.

The organization operates 7 Animal Birth Control centres including the city shelter in Delhi, the sanctuary in Gurgoan   as well as an off shore program in Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

An average of 2000 sterilaizations are performed every month under this program.

The city shelter is home to many abandoned pets, as well as stray Cats and dogs of the streets.

While the adoption team leaves no stone un-turned in striving to find safe, secure and loving homes for these pets, the adoption rate from the shelters is still very low. At an average of 12 animals a month

Our team at Friendicoes works very hard to find foster homes and loving families for the rescued animals. When this isn’t possible, Friendicoes provides lifetime care for these animals at its sanctuary in Gurgoan.

We currently provide life time care for over 2,000 animals at the sanctuary, which includes cats, dogs, cows, bulls, donkeys, mules and horses.

Please give us some money so we may go around doing more good in the world.
