Chan is an electronics engineer by education, photographer and filmmaker by passion and profession. The combination of instinctive art, creativity and acquired technical ability makes his work with Landscape, Industrial, Architecture and Product ethereal. Obsessive about perfection, Chan is driven by the need to create a flawless end product, no matter the amount of time and effort required.

His technical know-how and background is impressive, created with a combination of in-depth training and years of hands-on experience. Chan has worked with leading photography giants Nikon and Sony as product/technical head in the past and has assisted these brands with training and workshops. At Nikon India he was responsible for the set up and planning of the camera localisation project and Nikon School.

Among the equipment and the modern digital technology that he has been trained to use, he is well-versed with Large Format Camera techniques. He is adept at dealing with the challenges of a technically perfect shot combined with a unique aesthetic sense as well as the individual needs of the client.

Trained under eminent Hindustani classical musicians, he is a flautist and violinist. He had his inspiration and training from Surmani Pravin Godhkindi & renowned flautist & Shehnai player Pt. Rajendra Prasanna.

A passionate student of the Vedas, he has studied and been involved in various activities with Dr. R. L. Kashyap & Prof. S. K. Ramachandra Rao. The thoughts and teachings of Sri Aurobindo has a powerful influence in his life.

Chan’s true passion is the Himalayas. His regular escapades in the Himalayan ranges reaffirm his conviction that ‘life is a journey of consciousness, climbing from one degree of perfection to another…’ (Rig Veda 1.10.2).
